"You're too young."
This seems to be something that old-school, tired leaders tell the younger, future leaders.
"You don't have the experience."
I've finally gotten to a place where I'm tired of old-school leaders putting us young professionals into box that says that I'm unmotivated and lazy.
"You have a lot to learn, you have time."
Rather than inspiring and encouraging growth, this tends to be the "words of wisdom" that end up making us put up our guard, lose trust and completely disengage.
If you have that fire within you, where you feel pulled or desire to do something more - don't ever lose that because of someone else. The world needs your passion so much right now - you wouldn't have been given this inspiration if it wasn't meant for you. You were meant to have it all.

What people are saying
"Valerie brings me right back to earth when the "imposter syndrome" kicks in and starts to fuel my self-sabatoging behaviors. She gives me the permission I need to feel the way I feel, and encourages me to embrace the emotions in order to grow from it. She reminds me of the badass warrior princess that I am and that the "messiness" is okay! Not only am I messy, but so is the rest of the world!"
